FIDE International Organizer Seminar in Benasque - Results
The FIDE International Organizer Seminar was held at Casa de la Cultura de Benasque in Benasque, Spain from July 3-5, 2015.

The Seminar was organized by the City of Benasque, Spanish Chess Federation (FEDA) and FIDE Events’ Commission (EVE).

The Lecturer was FIDE Vice President Martha Fierro (IO, FT, WGM) and the lectures were conducted in Spanish language.

Nine participants from Spain and Tunisia successfully passed the exam and achieved an IO norm.

Results of the FIDE Seminar for International Organizers in Konya
IMG 4557The FIDE Seminar for International Organizers was held in Konya, Turkey from 29-30th June 2015.

The seminar was organized by the FIDE Event’s Commission (EVE) and the Turkish Chess Federation, and held in conjunction with the European School Individual Championship.

The Lecturer was IO Alexander Kostyev

15 participants successfully took the examination test and are granted a FIDE IO norm.

Chess has been defined as "food for the brain" and a "special" diet constitutes one of the secrets of the World Champion Magnus Carlsen, who, during his recent triumph in Shamkir, in Azerbaijan, has revealed that his meals are prepared by his personal chef.

Until now, chess and food was quite an unusual binomial, but things will be different after Expo 2015, the largest Food and Nutrition Event ever done, which officially started on 1st May in the beautiful Italian city of Milan.
