World Youth Chess Championships 2013

1640 players from 95 countries have already registered for the World Youth Chess Championship in Al Ain, U.A.E.
Registrations are open till 17th November.

Last year in Maribor, Slovenia, a participation record was achieved with 1584 players from 91 countries.

At FIDE Congress in Tallinn the organizers have presented a video with many details about the venue

FIDE Trainers, Organizers and Arbiters' Seminars are included in the parallel program. Al Ain Classic A & B International Open tournaments will take place concurrently with the World Youth.

World Senior Championship 2015 - Call for Bids

FIDE is calling for bids for the World Senior Championship 2015.      

With effect from 1st January 2013, a bid for any FIDE Competition from 2015 onwards shall include the name of a FIDE licensed International Organizer.

Results of the FIDE International Organizers Seminar in Budva, Montenegro
FIDE IO Seminar took place in Budva, Montenegro from 4 to 6 October 2013. It was organized in the frame of the European Youth Championships. Lecturer was IO Horst Metzing (GER).

Seven participants attended the Seminar.

The following candidates succeed a FIDE IO Norm:

FIDE Identity Manual & Sponsorship Guidelines
During the 84th FIDE Congress, FIDE Events Commission presented the new edition "FIDE Identity Manual & Sponsorship Guidelines" - a professional marketing tool which will provide more information to the Organizers and will give a new dynamic to FIDE World Championships.

The Manual is developed in co-operation with "M-Spirit", a company operating in creative services, branding and events' promotion.

In the same meeting FIDE Events Commission in co-operation with the Italian association "Chess Projects ASD" and the famous Italian fashion company "Eleonora Scaramucci" presented prototype designs for players, arbiters, officers and managers.

Objective:
The Spanish Chess Federation (FEDA) and Capablanca Chess Academy will host a FIDE International Organizer Seminar in Madrid. Applicants for the FIDE International Organizer's title are required to attend a seminar and pass an examination in order to obtain their FIDE IO title.

Objetivo:
La Federación Española de Ajedrez (FEDA) y la Escuela de Ajedrez Capablanca anuncian la realización de un Seminario FIDE para Organizadores Internaciones. Este seminario da norma de Organizador(a) Internacional. Los participantes que quieran obtener una norma de FIDE International Organizer, deberán cursar el seminario y aprobar el examen.
