1st Individual FIDE Zone (1.10) Championship
1st_Individual_Championship_of_Zone_1.10FIDE Events Commission started from 2013 to support new competitions and events aiming in a further development.

On 2014 after initiative of the Zone 1.10 and the Cyprus Chess Federation FIDE Events Commission will support technically and financially, the 1st Individual Championship of Zone 1.10.

Zone 1.10 created on 2010 in order to encourage the development of the European Nations with small populations.

The Zonal Tournament will take place between 21st and 30th of April in Nicosia, Cyprus. The invitation with all details will be sent soon by the Cyprus Chess Federation.

We wish a good  tournament for all participants.
 
Results of the FIDE International Organizers Seminar in Madrid, Spain

A FIDE Seminar for International Organizers was held on 27-30th December in Madrid, Spain.

This seminar was organized by Capablanca Chess Academy with the support of the Madrid Chess Association and the Chess Federation of Spain "FEDA".

16 organizers from different regions in Spain participated in the seminar. All participants took the examination at the end of the seminar and achieved the 'seminar norm'.

Results of the FIDE International Organizers Seminar in Al Ain, U.A.E.
FIDE IO Seminar Al AinA FIDE Seminar for International Organizers was held on 19-22nd December in Al Ain, U.A.E., during the World Youth Chess Championships.

The seminar was organized by the FIDE Event's Commission (EVE), the Al Ain Chess Club and the UAE Chess Federation.

Lecturer was the Secretary of FIDE Events Commission IO Theodoros Tsorbatzoglou.

35 participants attended the Seminar, while 31 participants successfully took the examination test and are granted a FIDE IO norm.

FIDE Seminar for International Organizers in Gladenbach, GermanyThe FIDE Events Commission is co-operation with the FIDE Trainers' Academy Berlin will hold a FIDE Seminar for International Organizers on 9-11th May, 2014, in Gladenbach, Germany.

The seminar will be held in German language.

Lecturers are Horst Metzing, FIDE, and Joachim Gries, DSB Vice President.

FIDE Seminar for International Organizers in Moscow, Russia6-8 February 2014, Moscow, Russia

Objective:
To educate and certify Organizers on an international basis. The seminar is organized during the Moscow Chess Open by the FIDE Events’ Commission (EVE), the Russian State Social University (RSSU) and the Moscow Chess Federation with the support of the Russian Chess Federation.

Subject:
